Complaint Review: sears home warranty

In June of 2022 I called sears repair to get repair on my upright freezer. The lady I talked to informed me of a warranty program that would cover my freezer and my other appliances for $49.00 per month and a $75.00 service call fee. I would have to wait 30 days to activate a service call,so I agreed and signed up for it. I waited the 30 days paid the $75.00 service and called in for service.

On August 3, 2022 the service man (Chris) came and checked out the freezer, then proceeded to tell me it needed parts and my service warranty does not cover the frezer. He put the freezer back together and I proceeded to call Sears home warranty.

I finallly got in touch with Alex at ext 52980, and all she could say was that she was sorry but it would cost me an additional $36.00 a year due now and another $75.00 service fee for a tech to come out. At that time I lost my calmness and explained they were operating a bait and switch fraud scheme and she says she understands but there was nothing she could do but apologize.
