Purchased a wall unit from store. Called Seamans told them lighting was defective and doors were scratched. Seamans dispatched company from NY to come and fix doors that were scratched. Never fixed electrical problem. I paid $75 for an electrician to come and troubleshoot problem.

I was told whole lighting needed to be replaced. I then contacted SEAMANS once again and they said they would deduct $300 from price of unit. Meanwhile, during this duration, my payment was due to Seamans since I had financed item. They never deducted the $300, I called to complain to home office and they said it would come off my bill at the end of the financing, refused to put it in writing, called again to complain, they said if it is that much of a problem we can always pick up the unit. I said ok, pick it up.

Not more than a week later, the same company that repaired the unit called me to set up a pick up date, which I confirmed. They picked up the unit, initialed my receipt and took the merchandise away. Somehow, I am still being billed and my bill has been through 3 collection agencies who I have supplied the information and still no one has rectified the problem.

SEAMANS claims they have charged off the balance and there is nothing they can do. I have now retained an attorney as I had no alternative. This has put negative inferences on my credit worthiness as well as having to spend $1500 to now retain an attorney.

I THINK SEAMANS IS A MAJOR RIPOFF AND SHOULD STAND

BEHIND WHAT THEY SELL, THEY ARE THE ONES WHO SET UP THE

PICK UP AND NOW THEY HAVE NO KNOWLEDGE OF THIS??????

ANYONE WITH ANY SUGGESTIONS, PLEASE HELP*******
