Complaint Review: Seamans Furniture

Seamans Furniture ripoff refused to honor warranty, sold us a discontinued floor model, have not returned any calls or letters Eatontown, New Jersey

We purchased a living room set in May 2003, it was delivered in June 2003. In October I called to complain that the cushions were flat, they sent a tech out and said it was from normal wear and tear, that's not acceptable, it's only myself and my fiancee and we hardly have time to flatten cushions.

A cust. service rep said he would send out 3 cushions, to date, we have not received them. Upon calling the company again, it was found out that the set was discontinued in May 2003, the same time we purchased it, and also the floor model was no longer in the store. Seamans, or the manufacturer, Distinctive Designs Furniture has failed to provide any relief. We are still paying for it because we financed the furniture.

We will never purchase anything from Seamans ever again. The manager Mr. Rob Doyle said 1 of 3 things would occur 1. they would try to locate foam cushions 2. we would be re-imbursed for the couch and keep it or 3. the whole set could be returned and a new one picked out. Again, he has not followed through or returned any phone calls.

Seamans is a rip-off, they don't care about the customer! 3/31/04
