Complaint Review: Sean Germon Real Estate

Here is an example of Sean Germon's business ethic as pertains to his rental property "Casa Bonita" in Las Croabas, Fajardo, Puerto Rico.  It can be found on VRBO and Airbnb.  He failed to reimburse 100% of full prepayment for the 'needs to be condemned' home.  Our group is out $1,392 that Sean did not refund, as well as the cost of finding alternate accommodations for 2/14,15,16/2019.  Via a telephone conversation upon arrival at the home, Sean committed to a refund and actually asked if he could cancel our stay.  We agreed....he balked.

Listing is unsafe, misleading, false advertising, and should be removed from VRBO/Homeaway/etc.  

DID NOT STAY!

Security, Safety, & Privacy Concerns
1.  Electronic gate does not function and wires are exposed
2.  2 monitoring cameras in home - 1 in main living area and another in game room - CREEPY!
3.  Exposed wires in uncovered electric conduits in 3rd bedroom and in laundry room
4.  Painted smoke alarm in main living area could not be tested as paint inhibits testing
5.  Broken windows throughout home - 1 window fell off into my wife's hands when opening - (note:  it was one of only 2 in the main living area that were "allowed" to be open because they were the only 2 with screens in the living area.) 
6.  Broken (no door knob - open hole in door) to the roof "deck".
7.  Owner's "private residence studio" in home
8.  Broken bed in bedroom #3
9.  Broken self closing mechanism on door from kitchen to main living area deck.
10.  Missing bulbs on exterior lighting adjacent to main home entry door.
11.  Exterior gazebo-like area is not usable, littered with trash and dirty towels, has falling wooden beams, and exposed wiring.
12.  2 inch screw on deck in backyard
13.  Rust and washers from rooftop deck railings littering deck - nearly 1 half inch thick

Misleading Listing Information
1.  "Air Conditioning" - There is no air conditioning in any of the public/living areas of this "3,800 square foot home".  Only provided in the 3 bedrooms.  Then the owner leaves instruction to turn off these remaining A/Cs if leaving house for more than one hour.  This is not in listing.
2.  No mention of owner's "private residence studio" in VRBO listing.
3.  Listing claims "balconies and decks on all floors" but when you arrive, owner has denied access to decks off of all bedrooms.
4.  Listing claims "security lighting".  No bulbs in exterior lighting adjacent to main home entry door.
5.  Listing claims "washing machine".  Machine is antiquated, dirty, and upon arrival owner advises that "you need to put the spin cycle on twice".
6.  Due to lack of reviews on VRBO, I contacted the owner directly via VRBO messaging to inquire PRIOR to stay.  Owner responded that he has a 4.7 rating on another booking website.
7.  Shampoo offered as an amenity.  This is previous guest used shampoo.

Miscellaneous 
1.  Dirty showers - ALL
2.  Hair in bedroom #3 on nightstand
3.  90% damaged windows throughout home
4.  1 of 2 usable windows in main living area propped open with a used shampoo bottle
5.  Dryer vents to laundry room sink and is FILTHY
6.  Pantry littered
7.  Top of refrigerator disgusting and dirty
8.  Common area on left upon entry into property littered with used towels, trash, detached security light, trash can top, trash.
9.  Wood, debris, large broken vanity top, on right side of home.
10.  Broken window handle on window in stair landing/broken window flapping in the breeze.
11.  Bathroom #3 had no lights
12.  Missing lighting in bedroom #2
13.  Broken door bedroom #3
14.  Improper repair on door lock to bedroom #1
15.  Dirty glass panes on door from kitchen to deck
16.  Debris in bathtub - bedroom #1
17.  Desilvering mirrors in game room
