I tried to clean my Jenn Air oven with the self-cleaning device. Door would not lock ,made a loud groaning noise. Called Sears Appliance Repair. They sent a technician from AA-1 who looked at it, spent a few minutes determining that I needed a new motor, charged $59, and said he would return in a couple of days with the new motor.

That was the last I heard from him. After several calls to Sears, I finally was told that the essential part was no longer available. No mention of a refund on the service call.

At Thanksgiving, my son, an electronic technician, was here and in three minutes determined that there was no problem with the motor, but a clogged solenoid was causing the problem. It took him 20 minutes to fix it. It now operates fine. I tried to report this to Sears Service but no one returned my calls. I want them to know that the "service" they provided was a fraud.
