SEARS - Craftsman SEARS - Craftsman - POOR QUALITY & POOR SERVICE Chicago Illinois
I spent just under two (2) hr.s on phone trying to get SEARS to send a svc. tech to troubleshoot my 5-month old Craftsmen 3/4 HP garage door opener. No one at the local store would answer my call. I finally gave up on them ever getting me to the right department after 10 minutes on hold.
Upon purchase, incomplete or incorrect customer information was logged so my purchase was not on record. We finally tracked it down through the credit card # -- this took nearly an hour and I was transferred four times in order to get this done. Then, service advisor told me a minimum of $75 for diagnosis and could not provide an estimate on parts or labor if I chose to have a SEARS service person come to the home. The unit cost $204 with tax. Now, I am to pay an additional $75 (MINIMUM) to have a defective part replaced. That is HORSE s**t!! I will no longer be shopping for any items at SEARS and will be posting my experience to as many Consumer Complaint sites as I am able to find. CRAFTSMAN is no longer a brand that is supported with anything but excuses. SHAME ON SEARS!!

While I would agree the warranty is a little short, that is their plainly stated conditions for it.....guess you missed this part or the warranty certificate that came with the door opener.
I don't see the Ripoff and NO I DON'T work for them.
