I called Sears Gold Mastercard to get a "settlement payoff", I was given a payoff amount from the customer service rep and told to mail it in and he would generate a letter to me that clearly stated the pay off amount and balance due cleared.

After three weeks I called back in to see were the letter was and I was told by the customer service rep (donna cables) that my account was not in a settlement status and could not be settled. She looked through the records in the file and the prior customer service rep did not notate any of our conversation.

SEARS TACTICS ARE TO HAVE YOU SEND A SO CALLED SETTLEMENT PAYMENT IN AND THEN TELL YOU THAT YOUR ACCOUNT WAS NOT IN A SETTLEMENT STATUS...SO SORRY....FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD
