Sears Home Services Sears Appliance Repairs Unreliable Appointment Deceptive Duncanville Texas
My Kenmore freezer stopped working. I called Sears Appliance repair and requested a repairman. Sears scheduled a service call the next day-sometime between 1:00p.m. and 5:00p.m. All this time food is thawing in my broken freezer. I took off work one-half day so I would be home for the service call. At 5:00 no one had shown. I called Sears to find the status of the service call. The agent told me that the service person had called my home twice and did not receive an answer. When I informed the agent that my phone caller ID did not have a record of the call, then she told me that the repairperson had come to my home and no one was at home. I told the agent that I was home beginning at 12:30 p.m. waiting for the repairperson. She asked me to see if the repairperson had left a note on my door. I said no. I then asked to have a service technician come to my home – now! The agent told me that the next available appointment would be 4-days later. I explained that food was beginning to spoil in the freezer. No sympathy was given. I asked to speak to a supervisor. The agent told me that a supervisor could not help me. I insisted on speaking to a supervisor. The agent put me on-hold for 25 minutes until I hung up the phone in frustration. I called back, got a different agent, explained that the repairperson did not show up for the appointment. This agent transferred me to "Customer Solutions" agent. This agent was more sympathetic, but offered no assistance. I was able to get her to give me the number to the dispatcher. I called the dispatcher, (she was very surprised that I was a customer and had their phone number.) The dispatcher would not help. I gave up. I tired to call other appliance repair companies, but none could come out at 6:00 p.m.
Sears cost me over $600 in lost, spoiled food! I am very angry. I will never again buy from Sears or use Sears Repair. I suggest other heed my advice.
