Complaint Review: Sears Marketplace

Sears Marketplace Vendor: AMI Ventures Shipped wrong product. Would not issue refund Richmond Texas

This is primarily a complaint about Sears Marketplace, plus their nonperforming vendor: AMI Ventures.

Purchased a simple timer on Sears Marketplace - it was a repeat purchase, as the 1st one I bought was from Amazon. Couldn't find it again on Amazon, and that should have been my first clue it was NLA (No Longer Available).

Found it on Sears Marketplace and bought it - paid nearly twice as much as the 1st time, but it was the one I wanted.

Received an email from AMI Ventures saying it was being shipped - then it arrived and I discovered it was not the correct item.

Began many weeks of hassle with both Sears Marketplace & AMI Ventures trying to return the item for a full refund. As of today 08 June, 2015 neither Sears Marketplace, nor AMI Ventures have issued a refund, although the item was returned 3 weeks ago.

I can't imagine a company like Sears with such an excellent FORMER reputation and good name, opening up an online marketplace and allowing such unscrupulous people to operate under their name.

Very disappointed, but definitely sadder & wiser.

Today, 20 June, 2015 I received a full refund, including shipping, for the incorrect part that was sold/sent to me.

Still, my advice is Caveat Emptor, for Sears Marketplace and Ami Ventures. There are better alternatives out there.
