Complaint Review: Sears Protection Agreement

Sears Protection Agreement Transformco I have had a Sears Protection Agreement since 2003. My refrigerator became inoperable on Dec 15, 2021 called for service. Wouldnt come till Jan 4 2022. They wont cover my spoilage bill because the tech wasn't there to diagnose.  Hoffman Estates Illinois

When you call, you get different people. They all tell you something different.  Why sell a protection agreement for an area where you have no techs?  They have a rule that you cant have food spoilage coverage unless a tech looks at it first and they cant send a tech because they don't have one for your area.  I had a house full of company for a week over Christmas and they did not care. 

They promise to give you a new refrigerator if they can't fix it,  yet in the fine print, it requires 7 service calls first.  They don't have enough qualified techs to honor the agreement you purchase.  It is a huge rip-off. It is not my fault that the tech couldn't come and I had to buy a new refrigerator.  Stay clear of this company!
