RE: Kitchenaid Dishwasher

I purchased a $800 Kitchenaid dishwasher from Sears. I have a repair person out every 3 to 6 months for repair of this dishwasher.

Sears lemon policy says they replace the dishwasher when there are three repairs(replace parts) in a years times.

Sears repairman use shoo goo to repair the dishwasher so they don't flag the dishwasher as a lemon.

If they did replace the part as they should have the dishwasher would have met their lemon law policy.

The latest problem is the sprayer on the top rack. It came off and will not stay on during a wash. They send a repairman out on 3/7/03 and used Shoo Goo to fasten the sprayer back on and was told to wait until the next day to run the dishwasher.

I did that and the sprayer came off on the wash. They were out last Oct. 2002 to fix the control panel which was separating and they used shoo goo to repair it also.

A month earlier than this they replaced a Panel and 5 month before that they replace a fuse in the control panel because it had blown.

The repairman told me not to use the Sani wash cycle because it would make it blow.

I bought the dishwasher because it has the sani wash. 6 month before this service they replaced the fuse for the first time.

In addition they were out numerous times to fix the seal on the door. Three months after I purchased the dishwasher, the unit was replaced because it had problems cleaning the dishes and leaving debris on the dishes after a wash.
