I received a coupon in the mail for $5.00 off of any $5.00 purchase, not one item $5.00 or more. When I went to try and use the coupon the register wouldn't accept it, so a manager was called over. The manager couldn't get it to work and proceeded to tell me that I had to purcheas one item priced $5.00 or more. The coupon did not state that, so I just left. The manager didn't try to do anything to accommodate me.

Donna- You are not being serious in saying Sears was trying to rip you (or others) off are you? If you are saying you think they ripped you off/ are liars because you wanted to say buy 5 $1 items.. but they intended it to be for a $5 or more item purchase, so what. Now sure, maybe to meet the "customer first" attitude they could've let your winey butt have it's way, but they are not rip offs if they don't. If this situation caused you so much grief that you thought it was appropriate to post here.. you have issues that need addressing.
