Sears vacations offers "great" deals on vacations. I was working at Sears at the time that I booked my vacation so I chose to book with Sears. I linked my Sears Vacations account with my Shop Your Way Rewards account so I could receive reward points on the thousands of dollars I was about to spend with them. I booked this vacation to Japan in March of this year, two months in advance. The reward points showed up on my reward account but were not available for use, they showed up the same day I purchased my vacation package. Customer service told me that I would not be able to use the points until I actually went on the vacation, which was fine. So the vacation came and went. The points were still not available. I called and they said give it thirty days to hit my account. I waited 30 days, called back and they said that now there was no record of me even purchasing a vacation package with them. After speaking to several different people and being told there was no manager available to speak to, a man named Mike told me that the issue was resolved and the points would hit my account within 48 hours.

So, again, I waited. Four days later, the points still had not hit my account. Again, I called back. I spoke with a guy who said there was still no record of my purchase and the guy I spoke to before had lied to me. Even with my confirmation number and all of my account information, they still could not locate my transaction. Instead of offering a solution, they said there was nothing further they could do and that there was still no manager available to speak to. Sears in general, is a terrible place. It was a terrible place to work for and it is a terrible place to shop at. As long as their numbers are still going up, they could care less about anything else. Just to show how terrible of a place it is, I'll tell you my experience working there. I was a cashier for a couple of months there when I was diagnosed with cancer. It was an invasive cancer and I needed emergency surgery to keep it from spreading further. The doctor said they were setting up my surgery for two days from my diagnosis. I informed my store manager and he told me that if I did not get my shift covered for that day then I would be written up, it did not matter the circumstances. So I got written up and I came in to work the day after my surgery because I could not afford to lose my job. The first thing the manager says to me when I came in was, "Here's a duster, dust the cash wrap and all the shelves. Oh and your numbers need to improve." So I worked all day. The next day, I was in dire pain and knew something was wrong. I went to the ER and was told I had internal bleeding from working the day before. I was told not to work for the next three days. Again, I was written up and told that if I got another write up I would be terminated. Needless to say, I quit. Sears SUCKS, I will not spend another dime with them or even step foot in one of their stores.
