Sears Worst Ripoff/Experience EVER Richmond, Virginia Nationwide

My husband and I bought our first home and needed to buy a new washer and dryer.  We went to the sears in Regency Square and was immedatly met with a sales man who took us around.  We ended up with a front washer and dryer on pedistals and my husband made the comment "I like they are so tall because it makes it easier and less strain on your back" and the sales guy said "yes, they are wonderful!" and knew the reason we were getting that specific washer/dryer was because of the pedistals.  We set up a delivery date (nov. 22, 2015) and was told sears would give us a call to set up an appointment time best for us.  

Fast forward to Nov. 21 and we get a call from sears (at 11 am) saying they are at our house with our washer/dryer and no one is home and if we can get there in 15 minutes.  We were over an hour away in the middle of packing up our apartment and when told this 'customer service' said they would tell the delivery guys that we would not be there for our confirmed appointment time.  I point out that NO ONE ever called and we had NO IDEA anyone was coming and I even pulled out the receipt to tell 'customer service' that it was not scheduled until the 22nd and he had no response and said the delivery guy would call us with in an hour to schedule a time to come back later in the day.  

Fast forward 3 hours, we still haven't heard anything so I called customer service back again and customer service said they put in a request another request for delivery to call us.  Fast forward another 3 hours and I call again and customer service said the drivers went home for the day.  No one called, I had to continue to call to check on our items, and make another delivery date (A WEEK AWAY).

I scheduled the new date and was told the same thing, we would get a call to set up a time.

The day before the delivery I get a call, and I answer and get immediately hung up on.  I call back and it is 'customer service' and after giving them all my details and saying I got a call from them, they TOLD me my delivery time would be for 4-6pm the next day.  I thought I would be able to choos, seeing as that is how EVERYONE else I've talked to made it seem.  Nope, you are TOLD when it will show up and if that doesn't work, you have to reschedule.

So, I made it work that I would be home and at 6:15 (AFTER the delivery appointment) the guys finally show up and start to install our washer and dryer.  I immediately noticed the pedistals were NOT there and questioned it and they said it was not apart of the order.  Confused I checked my receipt and the delivery guy said we NEVER ORDERED THEM.  Apparently the do NOT come with our washwer and dryer and are EXTRA.  BOY DO I WISH THE SALES MAN SAID SOMETHING.  We call the store where we bought them and the manager said they do not come as a set and are $600 a piece and we can buy them if we want.

We talked to the manager and were extremely CONFUSED as why the sales man would be FALSE ADVERTISTING that everything came as one and even had conversations about it with us!  The manager said she could offer us a 10% discount on the pedstals if we wanted to buy them (thanks for offering to pay maybe all of the tax).  

NEVER shopping from SEARS AGAIN.  

Save your self and any headache, shop someplace else.
