Last Monday I discovered on my Mastercard statement two charges for $79 each. One to Seattle Coffee & one to Rich Coffee. I have not had accounts with them for several years & did not get involved with either after their initial offers as I found them too expensive for my budget. 

 On Monday I first called Mastercard, because their was no phone numbers listed for either.  Mastercard said they could not do anything until the charges past the pending process.  I said this was stopping my use of the card for other charges.  I them did a little research on the internet & found they both had the same address.

 I called Seattle Coffee & got a live person but as soon as I said my problem I was transferred to an answering machine.  I then called Rich Cafe & got a machine.  I did not leave any message.

On Wednesday I found the Seattle Coffee had been cancelled from my Mastercard. By this last Saturday, however, the Rich Cafe charged had been processed.

I have disputed the charge with Mastercard & their standard answer is the merchant & bank have up to 90 days to respond.

It is obvious to me they are abusing the credit system to get "free loans or float $" & the burden is on the consumer to recoup their lossess.
