SeaWest Financial was bought out by a company called "CPS" out of Irvine California. Their phone number is 1-888-211-8075. When contacting these people, please be prepared to be treated in the same manner you were treated by SeaWest. "CPS" is of no more help than SeaWest was. All the S.W. employees must have gone to work for CPS!

I filed bankruptcy on SeaWest and a year later the car is still sitting in my driveway and was told by CPS that they have the option to either pick up the vehicle or not and they choose "not to" and we are only allowed to do with the vehicle what the law allows since they are lienholder... whatever the hell that means! I just want if off my property but it seems as though I'm stuck with looking at that piece of junk for a long time!

That happened to us here in Florida with another company. We called the State of Florida Tag Office and was told that we should file for a lost title. We didn't have to pay them off, that we could file for a lost title and then we can either sell the car or turn it over to the junk yard.

We opted to sell it. So you might want to check your local tag office and see what the laws are in your state. We thought our hands were tied too but we found out different.

It's worth a shot.
