He conducted a discord contest in which the winner would receive a custom made website. He then illegally changed the contest rules. I win, and he leads me on for a month, saying it would be done soon. After a month I receive a literal photo with unresponsive text on it. I confront him about it saying that this is ridiculous. He then says he will not even make the website and tries to say the website is intelligible due to the illegally added rules.
More than that he has to comply to "reasonable time” and market competition laws. So he’s dishonored his own contest, broken laws, and led a client on for a month and gives me a photo. I would not do business with him in a 100 years. Worst Situation I’ve ever dealt with. So if you get an email or message from Sebastian Gale from Canada just ignore it.
I assume he’s either not experienced enough to make a simple static website or that he treats his clients like trash, either way I personally wouldn’t pay him a dollar to do anything.

I don’t care anymore, I got cheated and that’s what it is. There were many communication issues and it didn’t have to get to this. Just disregard this post in it’s entirety.

The Left Out Details

There are a lot of left out details to this report about Sebastian Gale, for example, there are 3 people involved in this story. Sebastian (will be called S), the winner (I believe to be the original reporter (will be called D)), and Sebastian's assistant (will be called P). On December 8th, 2020 at 10:07 pm EST S made a discord announcement where he stated there would be a contest for the best eco-friendly business idea. S had forgotten to had a very important note (that it had to be under 16 hours of S's time) to it so he edited the message within one minute, edit was made on December 8th, 2020 at 10:07 pm EST. December 19th, 2020 at 5:37 pm EST S had made an announcement stating that the voting had started, and on December 22nd, 2020 at 11:19 EST it had been announced that D had won.
Fast forward to January 15th, 2021 at 1:41 pm EST D had posted a dropbox video of the conversation from D and S in S's discord server. In the video, you can see that S had problems getting back with D in a timely manner but this was due to working on a contract job. What is missing from this conversation is things like S told D that the design files were unclear and D was having a hard time getting back with S (making the website take even longer.)
Another thing that was missing was that S told D that it was that the website was going to take way to long with the design that D wanted so S told D to choose another prize, D did not like this and started belittling and basically bulling S to try and get him to build the website. D had also threatened legal action and even said he would contact past clients of S's to ruin his reputation. S offered nitro, D declined, started deleting and editing messages, then posted the video.
After a while of conversation being in the discord server, a bystander J had pointed out that rules were edited, and since they were not announced within 24 hours it was illegal (by US contest laws) but Sebastian is in Canada so I do not know if the rules would still be valid or not due to this. But this was pointed out by J on January 15th, 2021 2:57 pm EST, meaning that D didn't know, and it is what S was going off of. (the 16-hour limit).
P had asked D to message her, they emailed and even tho P will not share those emails with me, she did tell me a little about them, (making them hearsay, take them with a grain of salt). P had tried to find a deal where both parties (S and D) could both be happy. D could get his website, and S did not have to work over 16 hours. D had said since the rules were edited that that did not matter and S would work as long as it took to get D's design made within 5 days. But S's only offer was a harsh one and very unfair to D (in P's opinion S was being petty about personal matters with D)
D had made a counteroffer, S declined, D made a second counteroffer to S's first offer, S declined. D said he would take 60$ as the reward, S declined to pay him BUT P had offered to pay out of her own pocket, and D declined it.
Overall, the rules WERE illegally changed in the US, a law S was unaware of (he's from Canada) so the 16-hour limit was invalid, but that was not pointed out until AFTER S had already told D to pick a new prize because it would go over the time limit they were going off of. D had threatened S and belittled S and his work, causing S not to want to work with D at all, but offered an unfair deal anyway (P said she yelled at S to get that deal). D WAS offered other prizes but declined them.
This was not a business matter, it was a contest in a discord server where BOTH parties are at fault for unclear communication and expectations from the start and turned into a falling out of friends (seemed like friends to me). If D would have asked for a contract or said a due date S would have made it happen. And S was unclear in rules and etc from the start of the contest.
Please do not use this or the original post to be the reason that you do or do not use his services. Since however. I myself am a bystander, I do not fully know the details of the events, and I would strongly recommend looking into this issue yourself before coming to your decision.
