I worked briefly for Secure Funding Mortgage as the internal IT person. My responsibilities were very basic, keeping the company computers running and maintaining the network. It wasn't a very difficult job to begin with. But problems soon developed.

I was tasked to maintain 3 offices, the main office in West Covina, a secondary office also in West Covina, and a third secret squirrel kind of office in San Dimas where the three owners seemed to hang out in and plot against people. The main office didn't have problems, just lots of users asking the impossible from me and trying to get me to do them favors. The second office has many problems. The computers there were real old, and hard to deal with sometimes. I tried to get them to work, but just didn't have what I needed. When I left, know there were two computers that didn't work, so I left post-its on the monitors so someone would know.

Anyway, the old junk was not much of a problem. My biggest problem was the owner, Michael Crawford. He always gave me a hard time. I only worked 4 days a week to begin with, and was caught up. He always got an attitude when I was on MySpace during a break or talking to another friend who worked there. I just didn't feel comfortable dealing with him or to make requests to work out the problems I was having in the other offices old computers. I don't know if it was due to the fact that Im a woman or black, or both, but he was always very condescending.

Occasionally a former IT person would come in and help out. He was okay, but hard to get ahold of when I needed something. It was a hard situation because he knew things that I was expected to know on the spot of someone asked. Some information seemed like it wasn't centralized internally with the company.

When I crashed my car, I was hassled because I had no way of getting to work. Michael made it like I crashed on purpose. I mean seriously. So, my hours were cut. I couldn't make ends meet, so I had to give notice. I technically quit, but they were going to fire me anyway. I was able to get some resumes for students from my old school, big mistake suggesting one, a Bryan Wisinger.

After I was gone, I was still able to get my Secure Funding email. I had my resume out to potential prospects, as well as friends and family. Suddenly, I wasn't able to get my email. Apparently Bryan made my email go to his new account. So personal email was going to someone I didn't authorize. My privacy was violated. Still, Bryan had the nerve to ask me things about the company network and things after this. The last time the company spy, Julie, called in his question because he didn't have the balls. I just basically blew her off since I don't work for them anymore.

Knowing what I know now, I wouldn't work for them. They are dishonest, and two-faced, and cheap. I only made 9 bucks an hour and put up with all kinds of s**t. Eventually, Bryan, and those who come after him will realize that 9 bucks an hour isn't worth the hassle of dealing with anything and everything electronic.

I don't know how they do their loans and stuff, but Id imagine they are trying to rip those people off too. Most people there may be honest, but I would be careful if I were them.

Okay, first off, I am the 'Bryan' this chick is referring to.  I took over her duties due to her not performing them.  I was referred to this position by the campus employment assistance office, not through Brittani.  I only worked here for a few months, because Andrew Mente, the other owner was a complete c**k-bag.  Michael Crawford was actually a half decent boss and afforded me alot of room to improve several issues across the board, which I did.

Three locations, several computers.  The main office was mostly functional, though I was able to score additional side business from the agents there, as they were contract, and I was an actual employee.  Brittani must have not seen a money making plan, or was lazy, which I will get to.  The second office, a training facility was mostly non-functional when I found it.  The network was deficient and I ended up re-running all the runs.  The computers were old, sure, but a proper tech would have been able to make sense of it.  When I finished my tenure, All 12 computers at that location were functional.

The secret squirrel office was odd, but they were rolling in the money back then.  Again, the computers there were not working correctly, but I finished that.  In the end, I had all 3 separate networks functional, and they were all able to pass information back and forth from each office seamlessly via a clever VPN.

Brittani had a reputation of being lazy, and there was proof on every computer that she had used.  They were all kinds of infected, and on some, here myspace page was accessable as well.  I find it laughable that she makes it seem like it has to be because she is both a WOMAN and BLACK.  I think it was the fact that she was LAZY.

As for the email issue, I can see her point, if she was just any idiot user.  Supposedly, she was the network administrator.  When I took over, I made sure my job included network security and continuity.  I eliminated all unused email addresses as a security concern.  The very fact that she was using an employers email address as a basis for her whole life seems naive at best.  It is also wrong.  I gave her a weeks notice to switch to a free account such as Yahoo or Hotmail.  I never turned her account into a forward so I could read what she was getting, I just deleted it.  The account never belonged to Brittani, so she had no expectation of privacy, as it belonged to Secure Funding Mortgage at the time.  As an agent of Secure Funding Mortgage, I took my responsibility serious and was never found being a bum on MySpace or anything else.

As a closing, I made more than 9 bucks an hour, Brittani.  My skills were far above what yours were at the time, and it was recognized early on.  Also, Secure Funding Mortgage went under when the housing bubble popped.
