Complaint Review: Secure Holding Investments

Global Destination Consultants contacted me by phone, spoke with John Martinez. About Sept 12th.

Had many questions so I was assigned to John Grant a senior Rep. with the company.

Was told that the renter wanted to have there monies held by Secure Holding Investments, an escrow company that holds and distributes monies for the rental and sales of timeshare transactions. Was told that there was a Mexican Certificate Research Fee due to research the property of $989.00. Then there was a Sales tax of 19% of the rental sale of $18900. During the course of the next 3 months we were  paying many fees that Mexico was requiring. I spoke with many different people over the course of the next three months questioning the fees and receiving documents from Mexico in the process.



At Global Destinations I spoke with the following persons; John Martinez, John Grant,  & James Goodenburg.



Most of my contacts were with Secure Holding Investments with many conversations with Walter Jacobson, Eric MacKaye (CEO of Secure Holding Investments), and there accountant; Sean Gentry.



They always had me wire the fees to a bank in Mexico that Secure Holding dealt with. The last fee was $2000 wired on 12-27-11. All monies were to be reimbursed by the renter who was to be depositing the fees with Secure Holding, to be paid to me upon the final closing of the rental. We were promised the amount of $42,115.24 in our account by 12-28-2011 which is the rental price of $18900 plus the fees and cash advance fees I paid to get money to wire.
