Secure Horizons By United Health Care Secure Horizons failed to remove me from medicare records after the Doctors and Hospitals refused to contract with them. P.O. Box 29675 Arizona
After receiving letters from my Dr. and the local hospitals in 2007 telling me they would no longer accept Secure Horizons Medicare Advantage plans in 2008, I found another insurance to cover me. In a letter from Secure Horizons dated Oct. 13, 2007, from the CEO Kenneth J. Fasola stating that Secure Horizons would no longer be available to me in my county, Mesa County, Colorado, that I should do nothing as my original medicare would kick in automaticaly Jan 1, 2008. Now my new insurance co won't pay my bills nor will medicare because Secure Horizons Medicare Advantage is still on my records and can not be removed until Secure Horizons notifys medicare. I have made several telephone calls, wrote several letters and they refuse to do anything. I am being put at financial risk and also my health because of this. Secure Horizons actually told me to go to Denver to get medical care, some 250 miles away. No one knows what they are doing as I always get a different answer each time I call Secure Horizons.

Please call Medicare. They are the ones in charge. Secure Horizons is not out to hurt anyone. Your enrollment in another plan automatically cancels the current plan.
