Secure Payments Systems A Big FAT Rip Off San Diego California
A sales rep came to my business and presented this company as a reputable money processing system. He told me that they would carry my clients debt and that all I had to do was to lease a credit card machine inorder to process the contracts.
My interest in their services was to help my clients afford their funeral services. He said that they were initiating a 12 month payment plan the following month, that for now, they only offered three months. He gave me a phone number to verify that they were initiating the 12 month plan, which I did, so I signed the lease.
Also, because funerals can be rather expensive (my average is $5,200.00), I had to put down a reserve of $2,500.00. He also said that I would not receive any charge backs, that the reserve was just to help cover late paymnts until they came in.
I have been paying my lease for 2.5 years ($130.00 monthly), I have been paying a processing fee ($110.00 monthly) for 2.5 years.
When I received my processing machine, it was not compatable with my phone line so it could not be hooked up. The technology of the machine was too outdated.
As time passed, I would contact secure payment systems to see when they would install their 12 month program so that I could offer it to my clients.
2.5 years later, the machine that I pay for each month remains in the drawer, not attached to any phone line.
2.5 years later, Secure Payment Systems, says that their is nothing they can do for me. I called them last week. Spoke to Steve, the financial manager, he was at a convention. He told me there was nothing he could do for me.
I have asked multiple times for my contract to be disolved or canceled so that I can atleast discontinue paying them a monthly fee for something they have never delivered. I am still paying them monthly. They will not stop taking money from me against my wishes for a service they have failed to deliver.
Secure Payment Systems, says they have no record of my $2,500.00 reserve, they cannot help me with this processing machine that does not work that I have a 48 month lease for, and that although they have recently installed their 12 month fiancing plan (2.5 years later), I would have to repay the reserve to cover my contracts.
This company has ripped me off so badly and continue to do so. They do not care that they are doing it either.
My advise to you if they come by your business?
Borrow your husbands steel toe boots and kick them out the front door.
If ever the term "Buyer Beware" fit a company, it fits Secure Payment Systems to a "T".
