I contracted with Secure Vending to place 50 machines in the Pittsburgh market, at a cost of $ 2,500. The contract included initial placement of machines PLUS 3 years of relocation should the machines underperform or I lose the location (to no fault of my own).
My machines were placed within 3 weeks of wiring Mr. Parker at Secure Placement my money. Within 90 days, 19 of my machines needed to be relocated, either due to businesses closing, owners asking that they be removed, or the locations underperformed (averaged less than $ 3.75/month). I submitted the necessary claims and then the fun began. By December, the number of machines needing relocated grew to 30, over 60% of my route! For the next 6 months, we exchanged emails and phone calls, all initiated by me, none of which provided a commitment on when I could expect help relocating my machines. Secure Placement claimed they were backlogged, and I was moved between a few different people - no one could provide any satisfaction on when I would receive service under the terms of my contract. Surprisingly, I did receive information from Secure Placement on their "banned location" list (profiles of locations that they do not support and would not place machines in). ALL OF MY WARRANTY CLAIMS WERE PLACED BY THEIR REPRESENTATIVE IN A BANNED LOCATION!
Frustrated, I did file a claim with the BBB and FTC, Only after I filed a claim with the BBB did I receive a call from a relocator representing Secure Placement offering help with my route. Unfortunately, I had already relocated my machines myself as I was not generating income for 6 months.
My experience may not reflect others, but my word of warning to anyone wanting to start a vending route is be prepared to invest a large amount of your own time and before contracting with a location company, ASK FOR REFERENCES and investigate them thoroughly. I feel that I wasted $ 2,500 as only 20 of my machines are still in place and I have no expectations that any future warranty claims will be honored, at least not in the 60 day time frame that our contract states.

We could argue back and forth whether my emails and phone calls provided the $vends and requests for warranty action that you claim I didn't submit, but based on the DOJ lawsuit, and your pleading guilty to conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, it's not worth my time. Justice has been served, and your claims in the rebuttal should no longer carry any validity to anyone reading this.
Yes, Greg called me and offered to work with me to relocate my machines. Why would I? (a) it was a year since I notified you that the locations your company placed me in failed, (b) Greg's first attempt failed when the two (yes 2, not 20) machines that he pre-screened were asked to be removed the following day, (c) when he called, he said nothing about this being a "favor" but did say that he was busy his own route and wasn't sure how much time he could allocate, (d) if it didn't work the first time, why should I have any confidence that your processes or your re-locators were any better.

Normally I don't waste my time resonding to these posts. I want to make something perfectly clear:
- You neglected filing reports almost every month on your route as required by the contract
- The BBB found in our favor because, they evaluate the contract and the conditions. That's why we have an A rating and aren't even a member
Since, you feel it's your mission to make me honor the contract that you breached and you find it useful to post anything on any site that accepts all posts and does not research claims - I allowed Greg to call you to setup a re-location next week.
Actually, Greg was assigned this a few months ago but didn't act because you didn't come up valid in our warranty database. With the BBB finding in my favor I have two options, do nothing because of the stipulations in the contract or re-locate. Despite this crap posted I will take care of this immediately, one time only.
Oh... One more thing, Gref was "offered" as a compromise to the BBB to go ahead and relocate you anyway. You declined and said you want money back which is not acceptable, especially under the circumstances. Greg left you a message this morning and we are offering this again. If the below email from you is true then I will pay you for all locations you re-located as an act of goodwill:
"I see your response to the (now closed) BBB claim, unfortunately it's 6 months late. Sadly, it took a complaint with the BBB to hear from your relocator, I could not wait any longer and did the relocations myself. We won't be doing business together and I will share my experience to anyone that asks. Let it be known that I do not feel Secure Placement delivered the value of my $ 2,500 contract. Stephanie Wedge"

Everyone that is dealing with Todd Parker of Secure Placement are really
dealing with Jim Ellis, the biggest scam artist in the vending industry.
He has also gone by Max Braddock of Map Marketing, Patrick Cosgrove of
Clear Vision Marketing, David Addison of Vendsmart, Jim Ellis of Vendsmart.
His last address was 12490 Upper Columbus Road, Coker, AL 35452 and at this time
has a warrant for his arrest in Tuscaloosa County, AL. warrant #TR2009027769.00.
