I was laid off from my job for speaking out against the HR Department. On April 4th of 09, I questioned a remark made by Erica Bailey one of the HR Manager's for this company, on April 7th I was written up for poor work performance. I found that to be odd because I had been with this company for 9+ years and had never received any write-ups. On August 1st we lost an account, that had 21 employees working there. All Manager were asked to help with re-placement of these employees to other accounts including the HR department. Cameron Walker the other HR Manager didn't want to be included in this process and at the time I was unaware of this, when the employees called I gave them his number thinking this was the right thing to do. I later receive an e-mail stating that his number was off limits to these employees, however, when I questioned I thought the sole purpose of our jobs were to help the employees-ALL HELL BROKE LOOSE. After this time there seemed to be a group of Managers that totally harressed me day in and day out. it got so bad until I went to the VP Randy Bell who assured me that he would talk to these indivuals and put an end to the harressment, instead of that happening it got worse. It was to the point of a hostile work enviorment. My headaches started as soon as I walked through the office door. I then decided to see if the EEOC could help me. After visiting with the EEOC I found that I didn't have a strong enough case. Although there was a caucation Scheduling Manager that was so bad in his job that we were asked to help him do his job although he was still getting paid his regular salary and we got nothing extra. After it was discovered that he couldn't handle his job he was moved to another job as an Account Manager with less responsibilities still making the same amount. And we were then forced to not only handle our work load but his also. He was then paid out for his vacation plus kept a job. Me on the other hand I was laid off without severance pay-I was told that since I had never taken a vacation that my vacation would be my payout. I was let go without reason.

VERY POOR BRANCH MANAGER'S

#2UPDATE EX-employee responds

Sun, April 18, 2010

I agree Securitas looks as though they have some very bad branch manager's around the country...I was hired as a feild supervisor by the Securitas office in Duluth,MN...I moved to MN from Oklahoma last summer and started work there in July...After busting my hump to learn all the job sites in a new area,I had been working for them about two months and had been told by another supervisor that I was doing a great job...I had to give a few verbal warnings to guards on a few sites about one thing or another, and was told by the branch manager to report any trouble I had with any guard and they would back me up on it...After reporting a few guards who were giving me trouble and not go following the post orders I was called into the office and told that because a guard had complained that they were going to give me a demotion and place me at a site just as a guard and they were going to give me a pay cut....The managers at the officewould not give me any real reasons why I was being cut as a supervisor, and they would not even call the sercurity officer or officer's that reported a problem to the office where I could defend myself,so I put in my notice....I can only guess at the reason's for all of this, but just really rack it up to very poor bad management....Some backup they gave my wasn't it ?...
