Looking for steady employment, wages and and a set schedule. You will not want to work for Securitas because these are things they dont offer!

I left the Company in 2007 making  $10.50 an hour to go to a better paying job. I was contacted by a man I used to work with at Securitas approximately a year and a half later telling me he had a full time position available working 4 days a week as a supervisor with the pay of $11.00 an hour and 1 day a week as a reular officer at a pay rate of $10.00 dollars and hour and soon to be promoted to an armed officer position within a few weeks to months of employment to make $18.00 dollars an hour.

I took this offer and after only two days of employment I was called by the branch office in Troy by the human resource manager stating that I was not to return to that site and that I was to report to the branch office the next day for a re-assingment. They assigned me a new position that was over 45 minutes away from my home, unlike the job I was promised which was 5 minutes down the road and my pay was also cut from $11.00 dollars an hour and suppose to go up to $18.00 an hour to straight $10.00 dollars an hour and was only to work this position for a couple of months while another employee was on maternity leave.

I worked this site for the couple of months as assinged while the regular employee was on maternity leave and was contacted again and offered a new position that was a few miles from my home when that employee returned back to work.

I was told this new assingment was permanant but that I would only be working 37 hours a week and only paid $9.36 an hour. Two weeks after I started this position my hours were cut down to 35 hours a week. I had become upset for obvious reasons. I talked to the site manager concerning this matter and he told me that he told the branch office not to send family people, (Married with children) because the site was getting ready to cut back and possibly not sign a new contract with this client at this site.

Approximately a couple months into this position I was informed by the account manager that we were losing this account and that I would either be laid off or re-assigned somewhere else. I didnt hear anything for about a week and was finally contacted by the branch office stating that they had a new assignment for me but I had to drive to the branch office to be told what and where it was. I asked the receptionist if this is company policy to not tell the employee what the new site is over the phone and she stated no but they prefered to tell me in person. I found this odd as I was told my last two positions over the phone but I did have to go to the branch office to pick up my assignment schedule. Upon arrival I was asked if I would except this new position which did pay a dollar more an hour than the previous site but was informed that it was a swing shift. two shifts of days, two shifts of afternoons and one shift on midnight. I could not accept this posiion as I would be working every weekend and not be able to see my children that I am supposed to have every other weekend and nobody wants to be flip flopped on every shift and also this is a far cry from the pay I was starting out at and what I was supposed to be making.

This company does not have good integrity and is not very loyal to its employees. From what I have seen at every site they have sent me to, they are simply looking for bodies to fill positions and that is it!
