I was an employee of Security Finance and during that time I was repeatedly told " you cant be nice to these people, you have to learn to be mean, they wont pay their payments if your nice to them. I also, was required to sell disability insurance to the disabled. I was told that they could threaten people with law enforcement. When I told them that was a violation of the Fair Dept Collection Practices Act and that the police would not assist them in reposessing collateral, I was told by Manager that they could do what ever they wanted but Security Finance chose not to do so in most situations. You can file a complaint with the Ga insurance commision and small loan department.

Since I am a former employee, and not a customer,  there is not much i can do on my own. You have to have an account with them and they have to violate these acts before you can sue them. You can visit The Federal Trade Commision web site and it list all violations of the FDCPA, most of which this company practices.

It may also be helpful to notify every agency, government official, etc, that may be able to force them to change their policy on dept collection. Since they say they are not a dept collection agency they feel that they are above they law. When in fact their Job listing with the Joblink list the Job opening as COLLECTIONS.

I need help to stop these ppl from threatening and abusing the elderly, disabled, and others who just dont know that this company can not threaten them. Thank you
