Securus Technologies is taking over correctional facility phone calls and I have had several instances where the inmate could not hear me or the phone call was dropped and the inmate has had to call back.  Due to the number of times this has occurred within a 60 day time frame (atleast 4 times) and the charge of $3 per call I called Securus customer service number and spoke with a representative that stated they do not credit or refund phone calls/charges.  If I had a problem that I would need to contact the sheriff/facility and let them research and get with securus and they would make a decision.  Well I sent an email to the Gwinnett County Sheriff department about the issues and was informed that they listed to every one of my phone calls and nobody else had those problems on the days listed and that I had to take it up with Securus i.e. typical crooked government and their friends/family contracts.

First, for a phone company to get a huge government contract like correctional facility phone calls and rates you think the government would require credits and/or refunds in situations like this due to the economy, cost and issues/concerns with government representatives being indicted/arrested and guilty of fraud and every other kind of criminal activity that most inmates are incarcerated for?????

This company does not deserve the contract(s) they have with these facilities unless they are made to step up to the plate and provide competitive pricing and outstanding customer service for people forced to use them.

If our government cannot enforce and retain a suitable upstanding phone company for inmates and their families, they do not need to be in office, nor in charge of making simple and good decisions regarding contractors/vendors dealing with the public.

Please review all the issues surrounding this company and either cancel their contract or require them to change their shady practices and provide outstanding customer service and policy changes with regard to their current policy.
