 My wife purchased a new Baume Mercier watch for $2000.00 from Siddeqi and Sons, Dubai Mall. She was told the watch was original and new, although it was a display model, and they would honor the warranty in full. Fast forward two months and I notice moisture in the glass. We send the watch back to Dubai from the States (Virginia) with my brother-in-law. He takes the watch to Siddeqi and sons. They claim they performed a sealer test and the watch did not allow any water into it.They claim I must have kept the crown open while swimming. Utter nonsense but the truth is the crown and gasket on this watch were nearly impossible to remove, when changing the time. No tool was included in the box and after finally changing the time, and allowing it to click back into place, I never again changed the time. How I could have allowed water into the watch is mind boggling if the sealer was indeed intact. They send the watch back to me with my brother in law and now there is rust inside of it. They claim to fix it would cost $2000. Why would I spend the same amount to fix a watch I never really wore or enjoyed. I have never heard such nonsense in my life. They could have done the right thing and instead tried to cheat us again. They sold us a returned watch as new . Beware of this place.
