This will be short because my disability are both hands.

I worked for Kindred Pharmacy for almost one year and fell over a large plastic box that was placed in the walk way on 5/31/2007. I fell onto my hands and knees and immediatly felt pain right in front of a pharmacist. I wasn't given care until the following Monday. After being placed on light duty with my sling, two splints, and heavily medicated on Soma, Vicodin, and Relafen.

I was bounced from doctor to doctor who simply refilled my medication and sent me on my way. These medications can be dangerous when operating a vehicle but was made to go to drive work and and my doctors appointments. I was mistreated by this company in the form of verbal abuse, write ups (for not being alert and calling in sick), and was terminated on 11/18/2007. They made me pay my own health insurance premium and then immediatly cancelled my coverage unbenonced to me. When I attempted a refund they dodged me and never gave back over $250 worth of premiums.

Sedgwick CMS Orange authorized care until 1/10/2008 when a non specialist (although I was seeing a hand specialist before) declared I was perfectly healed according to Sedgwick (but that not what the report he gave me said) and temporary disability was immediatly terminated.

I finally got a QME exam who rated my disability I feel unfairly given the tremendous about of pain I was in. Sedgwick CMS Orange reduced my award because they had offered I go back to work (even though the report says I can no longer perform that type of work) and I informed them that Kindred had terminated me.

My claims examiner is Jennifer Cech and I have been waiting for 2 months to see a doctor and get reimbursement for the purchase of my splints. I call a few times a week every week and she either never returns my calls/e-mails or if I catch her she claims she working on getting me a doctors appointment and she would call me back.Which never happens.

I am due care and reimbursment. My injuries make typing this a difficult and slow process of hunting and pecking when I was a proficent typist at 54+wpm. I was able to lift objects over 5 lbs, had good/easy hand writting, was able open jars and bottles, was able to cut my own food, and am currently in such terrible pain I cry every day.

Don't let this be you. Find some sort of representation. This injury makes caring for my 5 month old son difficult. I would like to be able to carry him around like a normal baby. Instead, we have to find alternatives or other people to him me with him.
