On March 3rd 2015 a gentleman named Theodore came to the Wellness Center and asked me to purchase some Sees candy for a charity event so I conceeded and gave him $20.00 for a gift certificate for a one pound box of milk choclate candy that cost $18.00.  Theodore didn't have change so he offered to give me the change when the candy certificate was delivered.

It is now April 11th 2015 and I have not gotten the candy nor the certificate.  I have tried calling the below listed phones to no avail and feel as if I have been ripped off by See's Candies.

I will never donate to another See's event if this is how they conduct business.  Twenty dollars is alot of money when you are disabeled and existing on a fixed income. Iam very upset at See's Candies.

I Finally contacted a woman at See's this morning and she assured me I would receive a certificate in the mail for the money I lost.  We hope this comes to fruition.  It's important to acknowledge an error that was amended to be fair!!

Based on what you wrote you probably did get scammed.  However, See's has no more to do with this than Bill Gates does in sending you an e-mail that says you won the "Internet Lottery" or an An Attorney who writes you saying your long lost relative in Nigeria left you 10 Million dollars and all you need to do is send him $100 to claim it.

The biggest "tipoff" should have been that you didn't get any certificates right then and there.

Unless you happen to see this guy again, unfortunatly your money is probably gone.  You can file a Police Report but the chances of that doing any good is about zero.

Perhaps you should talk to the administration at the center and see if they approved him being onsite.  If so they may have some information on him
