Complaint Review: Select Home Warranty

Select Home Warranty I Paid $1000 for a 3-year contract and still have 2 year's left on the contract, But when I had a problem and tried to get help from them on April 27, 2015, I was told the contract had been cancelled by the COMPANY (without my acknowledgement). I asked for a supervisor and she said they had emailed me on March 1, and I should have received the refund check 30 days after that. The fact is I receive their sales email everyday, but never received the cancellation. She said I should have got the check on March 30th and sorry for the delay. But to this date, I still have not received the check. And it is May 14, 2015 already, I am still waiting for the check she said sorry for the delay on April 27. What can we do to these companies that are out just to get the money but not to provide service paid for when we need it? Mahwah New Jersey

I Paid Select Home Warranty $1000 for a 3-year home warranty contract and still have 2 year's left on the contract. But when I had a problem and tried to get help from them on April 27, 2015, I was told the contract had been cancelled by the COMPANY itself (without my acknowledgement).

It was a total shock to me when I needed it. so I asked for a supervisor and she said the company emailed me on March 1, 2015 and I should have received the email and aslo the refund check 30 days after March 1.

The fact is I receive their sales emails everyday, but never received the cancellation notification even though I checked spam folders everywhere and I have not only 1 email box but also another one that got forwarded to which stores every single email that comes in. So that was an outright lie.

She also said I should have got the check on March 30th and she was sorry for the delay. That was on April 27. 2015. But today is May 14, 2015 already, I still have not received the refund check. I guess if I never called for the a claim, they never need to let me know the cancellation and refund check.

Anyway, I am still waiting for the refund check that she said sorry for the delay on April 27, after paid expense all by myself since my insurance was cancelled by the company itself. What can we do to these companies that are out just to get the money but not to provide service paid for when we need it? please advise. thank you.
