Our complaint with this company deals with the repair of our roof., and how the whole situation has been handled by them. We have a leak in one of our bedrooms, we also have alot of hail damage on our roof. We contacted our insurace company and they cut a check for the roof but made out the check to Select Portfolio Servicing, It is almost two years later that they finally released the check. Why did they finally release the check ? because I had enough of this company and finally contacted my State Attorney General. who got the ball rolling.

We are on chapter 13, and they kept giving us the run around, calling them almost everyday, while our roof kept leaking, on our heads, not to mention the leak was by the ceiling light. They kept telling us to pay for the roof out of our pockets and they would reemburse us, why? they had our insurance check. They at one point released a portion of the check, which was not enough for half of the roof to be done.  Once  again more calls to them , and we never spoke to the same person twice, they kept up there switching you from person to person, until someone finally told us that if we were not on chapter 13 we would not have been going through this because individuals who are not on chapter 13 or full bankruptcy  are treated differently. Why? We are paying our bills granted we are paying them through a trustee but we are paying them, they also keep tacking on extra insurance we don't need we have an insurance policy.  We keep calling them about this matter too.  Our mortage is never the same they keep adding other items to the monthly payment, I don't understand how they can rip people off and still be in business.  Their business practice is horrible, and I believe if everyone who has an issue with them to contact their AttorneyGeneral Office, your consumer advocate office and file a complaint, and hopefully they will be investigated and put out of business.  It's ashame how companies take advantage of hard working people and veterans of this country and think they can squeeze every penny out of you just because they can...
