Complaint Review: select portofolio services/SPS

We bought our home in 1996 from a local finance company, our rate is 11.75...we were sold to Fairbanks Capt corp, Then Select portfolio services took it over or they renamed them selves as they were caught doing alot of corrupt things and had to pay some people back money.  I was one of them.
Well they are still at their old tricks... I was paying monthly by checks and every month they would tack on a late fee when it was not late...I think they hold the ckecks and don't cash them til after the 15 day grace period is over.  They also were tacking on bounced check fees, when I never bounced a check, I have overdraft protection on my account...but my checks were never bad to begin with. We have our loan for 15 years and have paid every payment...well our loan has matured this month April, 2011.  Now we find out that there is a baloon payment due and since we can not come up with 25,000.00 we are gonna loose our home... I have paid 44,000.00 on a 28,500.00 loan and they are saying we owe them a baloon payment of 25 thousand.  We are both disabled and will have one heck of a time trying to find a new place and move... I have contacted the Attorney general and they were very nice and directed us to an organization called "save the dream".. I called them and gave them the information and they are suppose to get back to me with counsiling...  If anyone out there knows of anything we can do...I would so like to hear from you....THANKS IN ADVANCE!  God Bless America!
