I saw an add on tv about Evista. I contacted them by web. Then by phone. They asked monthly income. I told them the SS amount but sometimes we make a little extra but didn't know exactly how much and would have to get with my husband and find out. They said that I qualify.

Before I get the agreement package I will have to give them my credit card number. I won't get anything until they get $50 application fee and 1st month $30.(Actually the first time I called them I didn't give them anything. Jermiah wanted to go ahead and order the med. But I said I had a month's worth and will call back.) So I called and gave them my card number and that is when they mailed the package. Before I got the package I called to ask about another med. They said they can't offer that med.

When I received the package I started filling it out. I had a few questions. Some of the info was wrong. I asked them to correct it. As I was reading over the package I realized it wasn;t quite what I thought it was and when I got my tax filing info I thought maybe I wouldn't qualify. (they told me that wasn't their fault that I gave wrong info) I told them I didn't want to do this, since I have the whole story on it now.

They led me to believe the meds would be mailed to me. Then they told me I would have to pick them up from my Doctor. One of my questions to Amy was, "If I start getting the generic for less than $30 dollars, say maybe at WalMart, do I still have to pay them the $30. She said no." After a little more conversation she said" all I need to do is write them to cancel."

When I told them I wanted to cancel they said I needed to get it to them in writing before the next draft date.Which was the 11th. Or I will pay another $30. I said I haven't even gotten any medication yet. I haven't even sent in the package yet. She said it didn't matter. She also said ALL of the application package needs to be mailed back to us.

I was in the process of filling it out and signing it. So I took a black marker and Xed thru it and wrote cancel on it. They told my credit card company I signed the agreement.I think that is one reason they wanted ALL of the package back. Even though I Xed it. They still used my signature against me. I asked for a refund since I really haven't even mailed my application in yet. They said they don't give refunds.

I believe they mislead people and they prey on people. Why else would they have to have a credit card number and payment BEFORE they get the package back. They are shadey and deceitful.Evista is approx. $150 so $30 a month sounds real good. I want to thank you for your time on this. please note....the requested ALL of application package back. I sent it back with an X thru it and CANCEL written on it.

They sent a copy of this to my credit card co. with my signature on it. I was in the process of filling out and signing this application when I called with questions then decided just not to do it. My X and CANCEL was ignored. I guess I should have blacked out my name and signature. I figured if I put a big X thru the page and write CANCEL on it that it couldn't be used.

I just want to try and save someone else from being ripped off. $80 is a lot of money to me. We live on SS and sometime make a little extra.

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. I have spent some time going over your case with our Advocate Team, and I think that you will find the resolution to meet your expectations.

After reviewing your dispute with your credit card company, it was your verbal agreement that was binding, not your signed delivery receipt. This is why your credit card company sided with Select Care Benefits in that matter.

We do regret the experience that you had when you were a member. We are certainly happy to offer you a free month of membership so that you can get the medication that you need. We are confident that in this time period of using your membership, you will not only receive your medications but also be very happy with our ability to assist you in receiving your medications. Please contact me at 512-406-5057 so that we can get you started.

Sincerely,
