I was looking for prescription help for my daughter. I was searching the web for PPA and found a link to scbn. I filled out the questioner for her within minutes someone called. (She is out of work and lives with Me)  The person called she explained she was out of work and had no income but she lived with me. He said they could help but need my income level and card number to charge the 50 dollar membership fee and 80 dollars for her 4 prescription. She ask if she could cancel in the event she became employed and or put back on Medicaid. His answer was sure.  So on Sept 11 they took 130.00 dollars from my account,
So we waited for the packet about a week or so later we received the packet after reading the packet we realized what a scam this was . First it could take up to three months before she even got her persciption, yet they would be debting my account for 80.00 a month whether she recieed her meds are not.  i do not make a lot of money but I was trying to help my daughter.
So with out signing the contract we sent via mail the packet back requiring a pod.
I checked the postal web for usps and saw the packet was signed for on 10/06 So on 10/07 my daughter and I called to see if the membership had been in deed cancel.
At first the lady that answered the phone explained that she would have to take our phone  number and have someone return our call. I got on the phone with this person and ask to speak to a manager. She explained that their was no manager in the office they would have to call me back. I knew this was a brush off I have worked in customer service to over twenty years and not one time has there never been someone with the authority to help customers and make decision. after going back and forth with her she ask me, if I would like to be placed on hold to see if a manger came in and  I said yes.  I was not on hold more than a few seconds when a person named Jamie came on the line .
Suddenly the packet had been delivered she had it. Yes she would cancel my daughter membership.  I asked about refunding my 130.00 dollars she said my daughter had not put that in writing but I could e-mail a request and someone would contact me but that they don't give refunds because we made a verbal contract when they spoke with her, but she would pass my request on to management for review and some would contact me by phone or e-mail.
In the packet I understood it to say that all material in the packet had to be returned with no writing, unsigned and within 30 days to get a refund.
On 10/14 I emailed Jamie because I had Not heard from anyone yet and this was her reply

Darlene, I have forwarded your refund request to a supervisor.  It can take 7-14 days to be reviewed.  I will forward another message to them and ask that they call you as soon as possible.  I apologize for the delay. I hope you have a good afternoon. Jamie Greeness SCBN Customer Care PO Box 140766 Austin, TX 78714 1-877-304-5719 (fax)

Dear Jamie

It has been over week since I spoke with you I would like to know When I will here about my refund.  No none has called or responded to my e-mail I will not stop asking for my refund I need my money back. I don't understand why it should take so long to answer a smiple question. It took your company no time in taking it from my account.

Darlene  (((ROR redacted)))
Then I get a phone message from Stephine on 10/21 saying my refund request was denied.

I wish I could speak to someone on the phone for ten minutes , talk them out of 130.00 dollars  send them a packet to sign but they see it a scam and do as they ask by sending it  back intact and tell them I'm keeping the 130.00 dollars for services performed.

Would someone please tell me what serviced they preformed that is worth 130.00 dollar.

In closing I wished I had found this site before they did their sells pitch. I would have never agreed to them taking any money out of my account with out reading a contract first.

This company preys on people with the offer of help to get prescription.

I have since found the web site for the company that makes my daughter medication and am working with them. Then provided me with a lot of the paper work that SCBN
gave about get the information need to get her meds and guess what it didn't cost me a thing.

this goes to show me that the drug companies do care about helping the uninsured.
