these guys are f* ridiculous. I had a working latop that I only bought a few years ago, and the laptop was in pristine physical condition. On the website, I was asked to specify the model, and it was quoted to nearly 300 dollars. I packed it pretty tight and shipped it in via UPS, and after they received it, they made false claims on the condition of my laptop.
My LCD screen was actually clean and free of any scratches or damage, but they said it had major cosmetic damage. Also, they said my keyboard was severely worn and faded, even though they were not when I sent it in. If you want to use service like this, I suggest you take photos of your laptop before sending it in, possibly if there is any way you can capture the date and time you took the photos. Or even a video recording of you packing the laptop in to the box before shipping it.
So after my initial quote of 300 dollars, after their so called "inspection," they quoted me about 40 dollars. That is 13% of the original quoted value, which was unbelievable.
These guys use bait and switch tactic, and lie to you about your laptop condition when received.
They will quote you high, to make you send it, and lowball you extremely low when they have it in possession, because at that point, you have no control.
It appears that these guys have done the same thing to other customers, so I don't think i'm the only victim here. These guys should not get away doing business like this, and they need to be shut down.
