Sellalaptop www.sellalaptop.com promised price, lie about condition of computer to justify paying less, pay less than promised, ripoff, scam, purposely unavailable, no complaint department Casselberry, Fl. Internet
Jan 2015 contacted www.sellalaptop.com to sell/recycle my laptop. I had a Dell XPS (fully loaded) but with a damaged screen. I informed the company regarding the screen and they quoted me a price of $99. I did a complete function check on the computer while it was plugged in to a desktop monitor and video taped this. I reformatted the hard drive to make sure I did not leave any personal information on it before sending it. I packed the machine in the very same box/packing that my new Alienware laptop came in (which ensures that any further damage would be completely unlikely). I also kept the email showing the original quoted price. When I sent them the initial information I stated that if they renegged on their original offer that they were to send the laptop back to me. The 17th of March I received a check for $18 and no further explanation. I went online, checked the email correspondence and after exhaustive searches I found out that there was virtually no way to contact them outside of email. I did email them (a number of times) and never heard anything back. I contacted the company that dispenses the checks and they stated that they could not give out any contact information. However they did send a message to "sellalaptop" which turned out to be a subsidiary company of something called ARMSTRONG WINNING INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT. I called (407)733-9527 and (407)834-4334; both of these were contact phone numbers I found online. I called each number several times at different times of the day and they simply rang on and on- no operator, no voice mail. This too strikes me a being very odd for any business NOT to have voice mail! The managers/owners of the company are BRENT ARMSTRONG & CHAD WININGS and was founded in 2011I further learned that this company an F rating from the BBB! This is obviously an ongoing scam that nobody seems to care enough about to do anything! All I want out of the deal is the money they originally promised me (because I know d**** well and good that there was no further damage to the laptop!!!) or for them to return my laptop, which I will now happily donate to a trustworthy organization that provides computers to children in third world countries.

I sent in 4 computers. My offer price dropped to 20%-30% of the value. This company is a rip off. I wished I had read this comment before I spent $56 and my time.
