Sembell LLC I worked for their company remotely and was never paid for my services, as stated in our signed contract. Los Angeles CA
I applied for employment as an Order Coordinator with Sembell LLC. The position was a work-from-home job. All communication was via email. I was sent a contract outlining the position. The contract stated that I would perform the job functions for thirty days (probationary period). Upon completion of the probationary period, a paper check would be mailed to me for services rendered in the amount stated in the signed contract.
I worked from February until March, completing the probation period. I was told that my earnings were mailed to my home address via USPS on the day of the end of my probation period. I was told that I should wait for at least ten business for my check to arrive. After ten days I contacted their Payroll Department and was told that "the check was mailed but must have gotten lost". I was then told that another check was mailed and the previous check had been voided and that again, I should wait at least ten business days for its arrival.
I have copies of the signed and notarized contract. Has there been a breach of contract?
I am facing eviction from my home because I am unable to pay my rent, for want of this check.
