Complaint Review: Sensible Home Warranty

Sensible Home Warranty; HomeWarrantyReview.org; HomeWarrantyReview.com; Stanley Home Warranty; & Dozens of other sites; All are hidden by stealth techniques. This is a structured set of scam companies. People are lured in by 2 purely objective-looking home warranty review websites. The scam companies are rated the highest with all kinds of great reviews. But if someone were to look at TRUE business review sites, they would get a TRUE picture of the scam. BBB rates them "F"; YELP is almost ALL "1" of 5 ratings. BBB shows they have 1222 formal complaints filed against them in 12 months. The State of Washington and Oklahoma has BANNED them from doing business in their state. But they lure people in with 2 FAKE review websites. Brooklyn, New York; Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey; Sparks, Nevada

When searching for a new home warranty I Googled "home warranty reviews". Up came 2 independent looking review websites:

homewarrantyreview.org and

homewarrantyreview.com. They both looked different and "real".

A company called Sensible Home Warranty came up with a top rating and their premiums looked good.  However, I am absolutely convinced that the two "review" sites were fraudulent SCAM sites fronting Sensible Home Warranty.

I signed a two year warranty contract and at 15 months, my furnace stopped working when the temperatures dropped into the 30's. I called and what BY CONTRACT was supposed to be a 24 hour response, took them over 6 days just to get a contractor to the house. That was after calling several times a day. NO ONE in the Philippine call center would escalate my call or complaint. They would NOT give me any other contact names or numbers. BRICK WALL.

After a heating contractor FINALLY came, he quoted a high repair cost but would need approval from Sensible Home Warranty before they would do anything.  MORE freezing in the house. The next day I was told I needed 6 years of annual maintenance records by licensed heating maintenance companies before they would make the repair. I WENT BALLISTIC. They then said 3 years was enough; then finally said I had to prove that a fully licensed repair person did maintenance in the last 12 months.

It was clear that there was NO WAY they were going to pay for this repair, period.

I filed a BBB complaint and was SHOCKED when I saw the BBB rating on them. It was HORRIBLE. 1222 complaints in the last 12 months. 2 US States have banned them from doing business in their state.

After looking at YELP.COM and I was shocked again at the horrible ratings; All "1's".

I wondered how foolish I was for contracting with them.  But I then remembered the Google Search that I did and found the 2 independent-looking rating sites.

I started to dig into the IP/ Domain registrations and company registrations on this 2 sites and how they are connected to the other Sensible Home Warranty sites.  Indications that I have found lead me to believe that the 2 home warranty review websites are stealthily managed by the same people who run Sensible Home Warranty.

Then after reviewing other complaints, I found that Stanley Home Warranty is connected to these same people.

The unscrupulous perpetrators are in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey and Brooklyn, New York fronted by a nameless, faceless Nevada Corporation.
