Please be advised not to respond to anyone calling from the Sentria (pronounced 'century') company. Upon calling, they say that they will clean one carpeted room in your home for free and that you were referred from a specific family member or friend. They seem very professional and I assumed they were an actual carpet cleaning company. The caller even said, "Don't worry about moving furniture, our guys will do that for you."

I was excited, thinking that this company was going to clean one room for free. I figured the sales pitch was that they would do an additional room for a "reduced price." Boy was I wrong. What showed up at my door was nothing more that a door-to-door kirby vacuum salesman. He only cleaned a 3' by 3' area in my living room and never bothered to move any furniture to clean around it. Not to mention him having to 'call his boss' using my home phone and telling the person on the phone that he was just starting the shampoo process, when he was actually already done. Why did he use my phone?? I don't know, he had a cell phone on him. I will say the vacuum did work great, but the price tag was UNREAL!!!! $2500 for a vacuum, I don't think so. I need a new car, not a vacuum. And the shampoo portion of the vacuum didn't work any better than my steam vac.

I asked the sales person how many he sells in two weeks. He said that he only sells 1 for every 10 or so people he sees. That's a heck of a mark-up on the vacuum then if you can keep a job only selling one vacuum every two weeks. He also lied to us telling us this was a 'once in a lifetime' opportunity. Has he ever heard of the internet??? I got on-line and found more kirby's for sale than I know what to do with. And none of them have a $2000 price tag. On top of that there was a website (www.sentria.com)printed on the side of the box, which is not an actual website for this company. LIARS!!!

Be advised that this vacuum is NOT worth $2000+ dollars and they enter your home under false pretenses. Do not go with the financing plan either, the interest rate is 20% or more. In this day and age, people are having a hard time paying for basic necessities -who the heck has $2000+ for a vacuum when people are starving. I was disgusted with the selling tactics, but I admit -if I find a kirby on a garage sale for $20, I will buy it.

Stand up for yourself when people are selling you something. Giving in only hurts yourself and I'm happy I told the salesman to pack up his over-priced sucking machine and hit the road.

I bought a Kirby some years ago and recently a door to door sales man, tryed to sell me a vacume that I already had. Mine is only 2 yrs old, and the vacume he showed me was the EXACT one, then he tryed to tell me , that he will send me a newer one at no charge. HE then asked to use my phone and asked for my drivers license to help with finance. So I went along with it, but I WAS FOOLED!!!!I never got my VACUMME and I called and email them and no response. After a while I got a call and told them I dont want it and cancel it. And I never got the vacume in the first place. AND never wanted it, I told them a million times when they were here. Then I get a bill in the mail for the vacume that I NEVER GOT!!!... KIRBY IS BAD!!! the whole franchise is bad. The one in SAVANNAH GA and anywhere near by is all SHADY.

I emailed them a cancelation form and the pics of the vacume I already had, the 2yr old one thats good as new, and did not need to spend money on another one. Also the guys where at my house, they kept asking me for my social security number and asked me a ton of questions about my personal life. TERRIBLE people at the Kirby in savannah ga. I think they said they have an office in garden city now..ALL BAD!!!!!

I worked for Kirby in Savannah Ga briefly. It was a scam and a rip off. I just wanted to let you know the reason they make the sales people use your home phone is to see if you have good enough credit to get a home phone. The entire time they talk to you they are taught to ask questions to find out if you can afford a Kirby or to finance one. They call in so there boss can tell them not to take no for an answer from you if you can afford and if you cant afford it he pulls the employee out so he doesn't waste time cleaning your carpet if your not going to buy. They are all scum that's why i couldn't work for them. Don't let a Kirby salesman in your house!!
