I purchased an HP refurb laptop from PCMall with the extended warranty through Service Net. When attempting to get a bad hinge on the laptop replaced and was told that it was physical damage. Not accepting this statement I googled "HP hinges" and found that other owners had this problem. I requested a supervisor and was connected to a very rude "Darrien" that now claimed the bad hinge is a manufacturers defect and not covered then stated that the conversation was over. I asked for a copy of the warranty.When I finally received the paperwork from ServiceNet, in the fine print, it states that refurbs are not covered by the warranty. In essence the warranty never covered anything and is out right fraud.
