Seven-One-Six Services contacted me at work offering me free magazines to pass on to others after reading to help the companies that advertise in the magazines get their advertising seen. I said what a great deal and agreed.

The next time they called they told me there was a small charge of $26.00 every 3 months, which was still a good deal so I agreed. But when the bills started arriving every month for $26.00 I was not happy. When the man showed up with the list of magazines and my contract, I was the only one working at my store that day and I had very little time to discuss the contract. I also tried to call back the number that called me on the caller i.d. and it wasnt' a # I could call back, once I relized what a rip off the amount I was being charged for the magazine subscriptions really was I was very upset.

I did my research and the total amount for the magazines I choose on their own individual websites for the exact same time offered to me by Seven-One-Six Services came to $410 which is $343 less than the total Seven-One-Six was expecting me to pay them. When  I mentioned this to them in a letter they claimed that they charge more because I can change my subscriptions with them at any time. But I also mentioned in the letter that I have used NME Magazine company before and they charge hundreds less for magazines subscriptions some coming to my home for up to 4 years (longer that Seven-One-Six's subscriptions) and they too allow me to switch my subscriptions on their website with a simple click of a mouse. Seven-One-Six makes you call them and submit a form to change subscriptions.

I paid Seven-One-Six the exact amount of what all of the magazines would have costed had I gone through their individual websites for the exact amount of time Seven-One-Six offered me and let them know why I was only paying them that amount. Now I am getting calls from a lady named Jackie at some 24/30 incorporated claiming she needs a call back or my contract will be turned over to the legal department.

I don't know what to do, I have a baby on the way and no money to hire a lawyer all because I got scammed over some magazines.
