Seventh Avenue lied about billing, slow to refund, poor customer service Ripoff Monroe Wisconsin
I ordered a personalized family ring for a birthday gift around July 17th, 2006. I called in to order it because I wanted to make sure the personalization was done in the right order. I was told it would be delivered around Aug. 5. This service person was very nice. A week later I had not seen the charge on my bank card so I called to verify when it would bill, and was told it would be 30 days after it was recieved, so it wouldn't bill until sometime in September, which I verified by stating "So it won't charge my card until September?" I was assured yes, it wouldn't be until September. August 5th came, no ring, and I was billed on August 9th. I can forgive the billing, they are just lucky I had the funds in my account! I called and was told to wait the two extra weeks for shipping, that Aug. 5 wasn't the recieve date, but the ship date. So I wait the two weeks, and find out that the ring was in my area, but the manufacturer who shipped it used an incorrect address, and the ring was returned to them on August 12th! I call the company, and they offer a partial refund which is issued to me immediately, and they re-order the ring, which may or may not be recieved in time for the birthday we needed it for. But I am assured if it is not recieved in time we can return it for a refund. A week before we need it, we get a ring, but it is personalized wrong, the stone colors are wrong, so we immediately send it back, with delivery confirmation and insurance. I have verified that it was recieved by them on Sept. 6th, 2006. I called a week later to find out when I would recieve my refund, and was told Friday the 15th I should see it. I have yet to see my money. Every time I talk to a representative I get a different story. I am so sick of dealing with this company, because everytime I'm told something it doesn't happen. I will never order from this company, or one of their sister companies again, since this was such a stressfull and dissappointing ordeal.
