Complaint Review: Shadowshoppers.com

Shadowshoppers.com I had a 30 day free trail. I cancelled or thought I had cancelled within the 30 days. They have removed $99.99 from my checking account and are refusing to reimburse me. Internet

Beware of shadowshoppers.com, I signed up thinking I could earn extra money. However it turned out not to be as advertised.

In order to get any "shop" information you had to sign up for gold membership. This was supposedly a 30 free trial. However, they charged my bank account $99.99 prior to the 30 trial ending and after I had cancelled.

Jonathon in their customer service department basically told me I was out of luck, and not getting my money back. He told me I should just use the service and stop complaining.

I was also warned not to file a complaint with my bank as the company would use resources to defend it self, and they would report me to the ChargeBack Bureau a ntional database which many major merchants use,making it harder for me to make purchaes in the future.

I have received a provisional refund from my bank. However if shadowshoppers defends themselves, the refund will be retracted.

Besides reporting shadowshoppers.com here, I have sent a complaint to my state consumer protection agency, the better business bureau, and my state attorney general.
