MESSAGE: On Feb. 9, of this year I purchased a Zenith LCD television at your store #3680 from mr. Shamar. With the purchase I bought a City advantage protection plan for $269.99 and video cables for the TV; this
all added up to $1,629.00. In May the TV was not working. I made an appointment with Time Warner Cable to inspect the the condition of my cable service prior to going to the store. The technician from Time nWarner found no problem with their service.

I missed a day of work of this appointment. I then went to the store and inquired as to what to do about my TV. I was informed by Mr. Shamar to go home and call someone at 888 615 8156. The person told me to do what I already had done several times. To reboot and then to unplug the set for a period of time then wait and re-plug and still the tv did not work. She then said that I was to call an Aid Audio & TV Service Crp., at 718 969 2211 and someone
would come to my home and fix the TV. Some did come days later and only unplugged the set and wires and took it to their location to be serviced.- ticket # D27440L-1.

The person did not attempt to repair the TV. He said that it would be a week to 10 days before I would either
have the Tv repaired or get a refund. A week past and I called the service company and was given no imformation as to the status of the TV. I went back to the store and spoke with Mr. Shamar and he said there was nothing he could do about it. I called the service co. again with no
answers. I then called one of your customer relations people; Bill - 888 969 2211 ex# 1356. He call me and reported that he had contacted the service and they had told him that a part was missing and on back order.

Bill suggested that was no such part, as he was a technician once. He persued the matter and after many phone calls he contacted Corporate Headquarters and remedied the situation. He had received a claim #
E2641864 and advise me to take that number to the store and present the claim # and I would be given a refund. I have just returned from that store. I asked to see the manager. He came accompanied with several people
one claimed to be a police officer. He advised me to leave the store at once or he would have me arrested. I had no choice but to leave and was told to never come back to the store.

How am I now after the long and arduous process supposed to get my refund. I have never been arrested and am quite shocked and disturbed by all this. I have informed my police district precinct office of what had happened.
The officer said that there was nothing he could do about it. But he noted that no complaint had been filed against me.

Now I have alot of paperwork, great humiliation, and no TV.

This is outrageous. I am going to be in touch with the Better Business bureau, Chanel 2's "Shame On You", and every available resource at my disposal to get my refund, as promised.

STOP! ..before you think about using the Better Business Bureau (BBB)... CLICK HERE to see how other consumers were victimized by the BBB's false or misleading information. Don't be fooled! It has been reported, when there are thousands of complaints and other investigations underway by authorities, the BBB has no choice but to finally give an UNsatisfactory rating to a BBB member business that is paying the BBB big membership fees every year. When a business is reported that is NOT a BBB member, BBB files WILL more likely show an UNsatisfactory rating, then reportedly shake down that company to become a member of the BBB. One positive thing about the BBB is, either way, if a business has an unsatisfactory rating with the BBB, you can be sure, the business is bad. But what about all those BBB member businesses that had complaints filed against them? Consumers never get to hear about them. What about the BBB advertising to the public? Is this a false and misleading perception they are giving about consumer confidence when dealing with a business? Click here to understand more of what consumers and business alike are saying about the BBB. You decide. ..Remember. The BBB membership is not earned, it's paid for!
