With paying only $180 for a pup I doubt that there is a contract
Exposure to the coccidia in feces from the onset of the illness is about 13 days, so this pup obviously had coccidia before you brought the pup home.
I would look into your states puppy lemon law animallaw.info/statutes/speci...
and
animallaw.info/statutes/stusm...
Usually states have a 2 week period for the puppy lemon laws, something you may want to look into.
This of course does not meant that you will certainly get monies returned or even that your vet bills will be refunded and paid by the breeder.
Again read your contract thoroughly if you have one and check your state laws.
You may even want to check you contract about euthanizing the pup. Some breeders want to be contracted particularly if it is a puppy before any decisions are made on euthanizing. Not contacting the breeder could result in your not winning anything and the breeder requiring you to have a necropsy done on the pup showing proof of what the pup had and a legitimate reason from the vet that euthanasia was the only option.
Also some breeders may have written in their contracts that they will take the pup back but will not be responsible for any vet bills you acquire while in your care.
Did you receive a health certificate, deworming schedule record of each time the pup had been de-wormed, the name of the medication prescribed and purchased at a vets office and dosage information, and vaccination record signed by a vet when you picked up the puppy?
You would have to do some serious research in every aspect to see where you stand.
If this Kountry Kritters is not in your state then that in itself has its own laws. The state of Michigan has laws about pups/dogs being brought in from other states...read the laws in the above links
What is the exact web address of Kountry Kritters?

I went to the web site and am sorry to say that this women is nothing less than a BYB. The web site has absolutely no information on anything!
On her home page it states in the first sentence and I quote "I am a retired pet store owner and true lover of animals." Any one who has owned a pet store gets their animals from a puppy mill. Just because she no longer has a physical pet shop doesn't mean that she now doesn't have an Internet pet shop and still doesn't get her pups from a puppy mill.
I would have ran as fast as I could from this so called breeder!
Her writing the animals are healthy means absolutely nothing.
She has no pictures or information on the Dam or Sires of any of the pups. No health testing information on any animal.
From what you wrote stating that the women told you that the pup may get coccidia should have been a warning signs in big bold neon lights!
It is against the law in every state to sell or give away a pup or dog knowingly of having a medical condition. Obviously she knew the pup was ill or had been around infected dogs/pups which is why she told you about it.
I would get all your information together, look into your state laws as I mentioned above, contact an attorney and see what happens. If nothing else it may put a stop to her selling pups period!
However keep in mind that her having told you the pup may have coccidia may not work in your favor as you knowingly took the pup after her warning you.
Did you notice on the site that she states that the pups get vaccinated with Neo par, DHPP, DHLPP?
WOW way too much!!!!!!!
Neo Par is a vaccine for Parvo
The DHPP & DHLPP also have the parvo vaccine included
This is too much for a pup, she has no idea what she is doing!
She also requires you to buy Nu Vet supplements which is not needed by any pup or dog and usually is only sold by BYB's and puppy mills.
There is just too much I can pull apart with this BYB and her web site.
I am sorry that you bought a pup from her but even more sorry for any pup that ends up with her. I think that any pup from this person will end up with counting their days awaiting their death sentence.

If you didn't sign a contract, or the contract doesn't mention a health guarantee, there's nothing you can do- it's 'buyer beware', no law for the situation.
If there is no contract or no health terms written into the contract, you could phone the breeder and politely speak about it, and if they're nice, they may offer to pay a portion of the bill- however, that would only be out of the kindness of their own heart. There is NO law forcing them if you didn't sign a contract. End of.
In the future choose your breeder more wisely or go to a shelter.
ETA:"the price of the puppy was dropped to 200.00 and then once i spoke with the breeder she accepted 180.00." yep byb
"I contacted her that saturday and she said to try to feed my dog through a suringe...we got a bottle but still nothing." Only a byb would have let you leave with a sick puppy.
AKC registration means nothing in regards to quality. A good breeder wouldn't have told you to try feeding him through a syringe.
You have three options
1.you take her to court
2. you take the 90 bucks and the lesson that comes with it - DON'T BUY FROM BYBS
3. You do nothing
This website will list Puppy Lemon Laws by state of purchase.
Next, time go to a reputable AKC breeder and not the store in the mall or billy joe bob's backyard breeding.
edit: I just saw the website. Those people deserve to be euthanize d. Sorry, but you are retarded for purchasing an animal from them. I think you don't even know how to properly raise a puppy.
UGH!!!!
I am sorry for what happened, but unfortunately it is going to be an expensive, heartbreaking lesson.
If you do chose to go to a breeder in the future, look for one who has a health guarantee. And expect to pay closer to $1000 for a purebred from a good breeder.
If $200 is your price range, check out rescues and shelters. No decent breeders sell their dogs for that little.
The only site I can find for Kountry Kritters is not in Michigan.

@ Jessi - Backyard breeders and puppy mills guarantee health for between 48 hours and 1 year.
GOOD breeders have a health guarantee covering at LEAST 2 years - do you know why? Because congenital issues - faulty hips/elbows, cardiac and thyroid issues, degenerative eye diseases - generally don't show up until maturity - which is around 2 years of age.
If you picked you pup up from a back yard breeder, no contract...well, you're SOL
This should serve as a warning to anyone that does not know enough about pet adoptions. Get yourself informed before adopting or purchasing a pet.
Good luck! I hope you do take them to court so that maybe the city will shut them down. Too many puppies are born with genetic diseases and in poor health do to people buying from non-AKC accredited breeders.
