When d**k Clark Promoted this great idea of a prepaid cell phone I thought it was a good way to control my cell phone useage as I only wanted in my car for emergencies.

My car broke down on the freeway and when I attempted to call AAA on my Cellease Phillips Phone, I got a message that my phone was not activated!

I then attempted to call Shared technologies and got a meesage saying " We are no longer in business, please cotact *6 to get further service".
I called *6 and was connected to Verizon. The person at Verizon didn't have a clue as to what I was talking about and never heard of Shared Technologies! After being transferred to several departments at Verizon with the same results, I wrote several letters to the address I have for shared Technologies. NO RESPONSE!

I had over $300.00 in prepaid minutes on that phone, they shut down with NO NOTICE at all and are obviously not planning on reimbursing people that had money credited on their accounts. I'm a single mom on and cannot lose that much money. I need help!

My husband worked for Shared Technologies Cellular for 3 years and then was suddenly "released" as were all the employees of the Missouri office.

We to have their phone service, with quite a bit of air time on them. I just recently found a phone number that will connect you to the Hartford, Connecticut offices. If they have not shut down too.

It looks like they may soon since they are no longer on the NASDAQ and the president and other upper management have left.

The phone number is (860)258-2410. Please note that this is not a toll free number. I called the number in early September and got a busy signal several times but no answer. Good luck, well, better luck to you than what we got.
