I bought this Sharp 37" flat panel LCD Tv (lc37D5U) with the cable card slot and the TV Guide on screen listings,and it doesn't work! Plain and simple the TV Guide is a joke, If it works 2 or 3 days out of the week it's a miracle! What a rip-off It cost me an extra $1.000 for those features,and they don't work!

I called customer no-service and they just gave me the run around blaming everyone and everything except the TV, and basicly telling me that there's nothing they can or will do for me! So I feel that Sharp got me for $2,600!

You just helped me with my complaint. If you buy a hi-def tv with the hi-def tuner & cable card slot wouldn't you need a digital signal? Analog doesn't support hi-def right? And besides I did have a sep. cable running to the tv on the analog imput just like the Sharp cust. svc.told me to do, and it still didn't work for more then a day or two in a row! So botom line they are telling us that it's a digital tv that you can't connect a digital signal to.

I Think I can clear up the issue with the cable card and the TV Guide on Screen.

Basically, TV Guide On Screen, which is manufactured by Gem Star is only an analog signal. It will not work with a cable card connection. you must have a cable box or direct cable only ,and at that, it will not read a digital or High Definition signal. Thus, not working. You can visit gemstar or contact them to see if they have an upgrade or a fix for this as of yet. They didnt when I contacted them but always worth a try. I had some issues understanding this problem myself but I had a very knowlageable Sharp rep explain this to me a few months ago.
