Complaint Review: Shawn Marnae Interiors

This woman came to our home at the request of another company to "only" take measuurements! This was for installation of "pleated" window blinds.

When she arrived, she immediately played up to my wife and started her sales pitch. I could see through this but stayed out of it. She then she wrote up a contract and asked my wife for a deposit of $375. My wife wrote her a check for that ammount and she left.

When I reviewed the contract, the price was almost double of what the previous company had quoted. I questioned that with the company she was supposed to take the measurements for and they said they would have her make the price adjustment.

She took the check my wife gave her straight to our bank, USAA, and cashed it. We continually tried to contact her to find out when the blinds would be delivered. She had originally said it would be a week. This was on July,16,2015. 

We live out of town and were only in town this past week to get the home ready for sale. I spoke to this individual; on the 16th of August, via text, as she doesn't answer when you call; inquiring as to, where are the blinds we ordered. She then gave me a tracking # that didnt match up to any postal carrier. When I confronted her, again (via text), she went into a verbal tirade that would have embarrassed most truck drivers.

Her last text; basically said; go **** yourself, and that she was leaving town for three weeks. This is why I say avoid this woman and her company at all costs.
