This is the first time that we ever being scammed, we have been scammed from a website on Alibaba.com
We put an enquiry into http://chigift.com.cn for purchasing some RC helicopters, an email was sent to sales@chigift.com.cn, we had a response in 24hrs from Thoms on an email address: seller.ning@weilangs.com and web address of www.weilangs.com which had the RC helicopters on it.
The price quoted for RC helicopters seemed about right as we had purchased the same models in China a month earlier on a trip. like the price quoted was about $5 less than buying in a retail store in Shanghai.
They wanted to be paid by western union or by TT bank transfer, I chose western union as it seemed to be simpler and less expensive. Will never do that again.
Communication was all good until they received the money, last email said money had arrived and they will be shipping the product. But now nothing, no responses to emails.
We lost US$288.00. We have learnt lots about this scam, like do not trust anything especially on this alibaba.com website.
