Complaint Review: Sheri Griest (re wards cattery / Rabbitry)

Please, please, please do NOT do buisness with this lady. She will give you some son story on how she has been screwed over in the past, had had animals stolen, the whole 9 yards. Anyway, I fell into this mess, believed the whole story, I let her borrow cats to breed, we were to split the litters and profit from the kittens. Long story short she ended up stealing all of my cats. She said they got sick, one died - I believed her at first and she agreed to take them to the vet, she sashout would be easier and cheaper for her to take them to her vet, and I agreed on this arrangement. She took my cats to the vet and they all had some deadly virus and had to be euthanized ASAP, she had them "euthanized" without my permission and then I got emailed a vet bill. The vet bill is what caught my attention, I was charged $6,120 to have 8 cats blood tested and euthenized. I called the vet number on the vet bill (with a Maryland area code) and nobody ever answered, the number kept ringing and no answer. I emailed the vet as well and never got any type of response. Sheri responded to me and then tried to blame a 3rd person, said then changed her story and said this other person took them to this "vet". I actually got a hold of this "3rd person" after Sheri refused to give me any contact info for them and they obviously never took these cats to this "vet" aa they live a good 3 hours away from her! In the end of all this mess I got contacted by a few people asking to transfer the registration papers for my "dead cats" from my name into there's, so obviously my cats were not dead - instead they were sold, and she was trying to scam in out of over $6000.

So I beg all of you DO not do buisness with her, it's not worth the sob story, drama, and heartache. I thank god I got 3 of my cats back, and I have taken this whole experience as a learning lesson. Through this I have been contactemy I several others who have had horrible experiences with her. She does not only breed several breeds of cats, she also breeds goats, dotab and rabbits. She basically pumps out aam any animals as possible, as cheap as possible. Save yourself and do not deal with her!
